Senior Trey Comer drove in a game-high three runs and Halifax County remained undefeated on the season with a 10-2 win over Mecklenburg County in Piedmont District action Tuesday evening.

Halifax (12-0, 8-0 Piedmont) came out firing on all cylinders, scoring four runs in its first at-bat. Junior Mason Hatcher got the Comets on the board with his single to center field that scored senior Joshua Gunn and Hatcher doubled down on Halifax’s lead moments later when he scored on a wild pitch. Comer rounded things out with his two-run base knock to center that plated seniors Tyler Collins and Dakii Chandler and made it 4-0.
