The Halifax County High School junior varsity volleyball team put up a good battle but fell to Park View High School 2-0 Monday night at Park View High School in South Hill.

Halifax County High School battled hard in the opening game, forcing the game to go extra points before losing 26-24. The Comets continued to battle through the second game, but lost 25-16.

Abby Martin led the Comets in attacks with 13, in kills with five, and tallied the team’s only block. Amanda Duffer had a team-high 16 good passes and led the team in aces with four.

Duffer and Raegan Ridgeway were tops for the team in service points with nine each, and Kendall Foushee had a team-high 25 sets.
