The Halifax County High School varsity football game against Bassett is back on for Friday night after being changed twice.

On Tuesday, officials announced the Comets game was moved to Thursday due to “impending weather conditions.”

On Thursday afternoon, the game was moved back to 7 p.m. Friday because “the weather forecast changed,” according to the HCHS athletic department.

The game is set to be the biggest of the season for the remaining Comets schedule considering both teams are 3-1 in the district and fighting for sole possession of second place.
