The Halifax County Middle School volleyball team remained unbeaten, extending its record to 4-0 Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School at Halifax County Middle School.

Halifax County Middle School was relatively unchallenged in winning the first set 25-7, but had to buckle down in the second set to take the 25-19 win and seal the overall match win.

Abby Duffer had five aces in the first set and one in the second set to lead the Lions in that category with a total of six aces. Duffer had three kills in the second set and led the Lions’ effort in that statistical category.

Emma Payne led the Lions in assists, getting eight assists in the first set and adding five more in the second set for a match total of 13 assists.
