The Halifax County Middle School girls and boys basketball team plan to start their abbreviated season on Jan. 19.

Middle school athletic director Justin Saunders released the Lions schedule on Monday, which includes six games against three teams.

Along with Halifax County, Laurel Park, Patrick County and Fieldale-Collinsville plan to participate in the 2021 season. This year the girls will be first with a 5 p.m. start, followed by the boys at 6:30.

  • Jan. 19, Halifax County Middle School vs. Laurel Park, home, 5 p.m.
  • Jan. 21, Halifax County Middle School vs. Fieldale-Collinsville, home, 5 p.m.
  • Jan. 26, Halifax County Middle School vs. Patrick County, away, 5 p.m.
  • Jan. 28, Halifax County Middle School vs. Laurel Park, away, 5 p.m.
  • Feb. 2, Halifax County Middle School vs. Fieldale-Collinsville, away, 5:30 p.m.
  • Feb. 4, Halifax County Middle School vs. Patrick County, home, 5 p.m.
