Peyton Sellers’ win in last Saturday’s Thunder Road Harley-Davidson Presented By Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort NASCAR Whelen Late Model 200 at South Boston Speedway has padded his lead in the national championship chase.

Sellers, now with five wins and a dozen top-five finishers in his 18 starts, increased his lead over Philip Morris to 44 points in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series national point standings.

Morris finished 23rd Saturday night after being sidelined in a mishap just past the midway point in the race. He has six wins and a dozen top-five finishes in 20 starts.

Among South Boston Speedway’s regulars, Austin Thaxton of South Boston stands 35th in the nation, Lee Pulliam is ranked 40th, and Thomas Scott is ranked 47th.
